Soup and Sangha : A Vancouver Gene Keys Community Gathering.

A day of soup, sunshine, sharing and community-building for those of us on the Gene Keys journey. Anmore, BC -- Saturday Aug 29th, 1-9pm.

Exactly a year ago, my husband Pete and I organised the first Vancouver Gene Keys Community meet up — something that challenged me so much I’m still integrating the effects of it now!

60 people showed up that day in Port Moody, including other Guides, Ambassadors and Gene Keys Team 64 members. The feedback was that people really enjoyed it — but it took me a full year to get over the burnout of doing something I found very challenging and stressful.

Then, in September 2025, I attended a Guides meeting with Richard when he announced his intention to hold The Sage’s Golden Path retreat that many of us are now travelling on together. And one of the things he said really stuck with me, and I wrote it down at the time: “2026 is going to be challenging,” he said. “You’re going to want to be in a Community.”

Nothing beats being in physical presence with other people — especially with those who are also hearing the call to move from fear to ❤️LOVE at this time in our evolution as a species. The pull to reconnect with each other and the spirit of Gaia. To remember who we are, and that our true nature is friendliness and love.

So this year, Pete and I are announcing a different type of gathering — and you’re invited!

We’re calling it “Soup and Sangha,” a day devoted to getting to know each other better. A day of eating, relaxing, music, chatting, and sharing — and maybe even a little dancing if you feel the call!

What to expect: We’ll make two big pots of different handmade, homemade, hearty, vegetarian, gluten-free soups to share with you all. We hope to be outside for most of the event, Vancouver weather permitting - if not, we'll be inside and on the covered deck.

(If the weather is severe, we reserve the right to choose to cancel and refund ticket sales)

Bring your own food to accompany the soup, plus maybe a cooler for your drinks, a fold-up chair, or a blanket to sit on.

We can’t wait to see you again, or meet you for the first time. You’ll be warmly welcomed by people who know first hand that although it takes a little courage to meet new people, it just feels so good to be in a community of like-minded souls, dedicated to living with their hearts open, in presence together.
